Farmers markets are a reflection of the heart of the community in which they are found. If you ever really want to get to know a new neighborhood, head directly there. Filled to the brim with passionate creators and innovative dreamers who sit under their tent each weekend to bring to you the products made with their hearts and hands. There is also an amazing sense of discovery when you mill around a farmer’s market. You never know what you’ll find under each white topped tent. We want to capture that element of surprise and discovery and a taste of the local flavor through the stories we tell, the products we sell in our subscription box and the local packages we curate.

We are in the business of supporting small businesses. We believe in the power of passionate makers and created The Farmers Finds to give more visibility to these makers that they would not otherwise get on their own. Our founder has spent over twenty years in global advertising and public relations. She lends her expertise to increasing the visibility for The Farmers Finds, so that translates to sales for local makers we feature. All of our profits from subscriptions go back into promoting The Farmers Finds and these small-batch businesses. We are proud to offer them support they would not be able to achieve on their own.
The Farmers Finds idea was conceived while Loretta Markevics was traveling across the country for a year. During her time on the road, she visited farmers markets all over the United States and was struck by the stories of the farmer’s market vendors and impressed with the creative, quality products under each tent. Although there are plenty of existing platforms and subscription boxes to support the produce vendors, after many conversations with hundreds of local artisans, Loretta discovered that there was not one unifying platform for the creators who were not in the produce business; for everything else at the farmers market. She has a passion for startups and the entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to support this passionate founders, so she created The Farmers Finds.
