Meet Jake Reisdorf of Carmel Honey Company

Carmel Honey Company grew out of a passion for bees and good grades. This Company began as a student “real world” homework assignment in 5th grade. I not only got an A on the project, but created a business! I quickly discovered that I really enjoyed sharing my honey bee knowledge with classrooms and the community.

I graduated from Carmel High School in 2021 and now attend Monterey Peninsula Community College. I continue to tend to my bees here in Monterey County and build the Carmel Honey Company brand. Besides school, my retail stores (located in Carmel By-the-Sea,/Cannery Row in Monterey/the Ferry Building in San Francisco) and speaking engagements take up most of my time. Travel has become a passion of mine. You can learn so much about a culture through their food and there is ALWAYS a connection to the honeybee.
