Our Story

We are in the business of supporting small businesses. We believe in the power of passionate makers and created The Farmers Finds to give more visibility to these makers that they would not otherwise get on their own. Our founder has spent over twenty years in global advertising and public relations. She lends her expertise to increasing the visibility for The Farmers Finds, so that translates to sales for local makers we feature. All of our profits from subscriptions go back into promoting The Farmers Finds and these small-batch businesses. We are proud to offer them support they would not be able to achieve on their own.

The Farmers Finds was conceived while Loretta Markevics was traveling across the country from 2020-2021. During more than a year on the road, she visited farmers markets all over the United States and fell in love with the memorable stories they heard and the special products they discovered under the diverse tents. Loretta wanted to find a way to support the passions of these small businesses, so she started the first subscription box that features items from the market that aren’t fruits or vegetables.
