Since 2001 Old State Farms has been producing pure maple syrup in Northwestern Pennsylvania and sold throughout the United States. In 2018 they launched their barrel aged  line of maple syrups. They start with their flavorful dark robust pure maple syrup and age it in empty Rye Whiskey barrels from Wigle Whiskey in Pittsburgh PA.  The result is a delightful combination of robust maple flavor and the distinctive character of rye whiskey.  Drizzle over fresh fruit, hot apple pie or vanilla ice cream.
